Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you have an application deadline?

A: Pathways Academy always accepts applications. Tours and meeting families with their children are held throughout the year and offers of admission are made shortly after family meetings. We consider space availability in each grade, and we adhere to the admissions criteria listed below. If a grade is full, the applicant may be eligible for a position on our waitlist.

Q: How much are tuition fees?

A: Tuition varies depending on the age of your child and the number of days enrolled.

We believe that all students deserve a first-class education, and we are working hard to keep our tuition low while still adequately funding our resources, facilities, and staff that our school requires.  The tuition fees are available in our office or on your school tour. The tuition and fees cover tuition, field trips, and various school supplies.

Q: Do you offer tuition discounts?

A: Yes! We offer tuition discounts for families*.

Sibling Discounts*:

  • A second child will receive a 15% discount off tuition fees. This discount will apply when two siblings are enrolled and attending in the same school year.  The sibling with the lesser tuition value will receive the discount off tuition fees.
  • A third child will receive a 50% discount off tuition fees. This discount will apply when three siblings are enrolled and attending in the same school year.  The sibling with the lesser tuition value will receive the discount off tuition fees.

Grades Discount:

  • Students registered in Grades 1 - 3 classes will be eligible for a tuition discount. However, no further discounts or sibling discounts will be applied to students receiving the Grades Discount. Therefore, they are not considered an additional sibling.

*Sibling discounts do not apply to additional days that your child was not registered/ scheduled to attend.

*Families with four or more siblings, please speak to administration regarding sibling discounts.

Our staff are dedicated and passionate teachers who focus on individualized learning to help each student achieve their best work, and to be excited about the results.

Q: Does Pathways have a waiting list?

A: In order to give all interested families an opportunity to attend Pathways, a waiting list is maintained at no charge to the families.

  • For Toddler and Casa students (18 months – 3.5 years):  The waiting list is maintained by Niagara Region https://niagara.onehsn.com/
  • For Junior Kindergarten to Grades Students: The waiting list is maintained by Pathways Academy

Our current Pathways families will receive priority for our current school year and upcoming fall registration, after which it will be open to new applicants.  Families will be contacted as spaces become available.  Priority will be given to children who require 5 full days or 5 half days enrolment regardless of their waiting list spot for fall registration

Although families are ranked in order of applying to the waiting list, children will be sorted by grade and attendance needs. Therefore, families will be offered a space in the program depending on these indicators.

Q: Pathways has a waiting list, does that mean you are not accepting current enrolment?

A: No! Pathways keeps a waiting list for families that are interested in enrolling in current and upcoming school years.

It is possible to have openings in one classroom or age group and not another. Therefore, families could be called immediately depending on the enrolment needs.

Q: Does Pathways offer mid year admissions?

A: Yes! We offer enrollment when spaces in classrooms are available.

Q: How does your admissions process work?

A: Families Meet & Greet Tour (with parent and child) will be scheduled as space becomes available but does not guarantee your child's enrolment. Once a new family is offered an available space at Pathways Academy, the family must return the Registration Request Form accompanied with their registration and enrolment fees to the office within five business days of receiving notification of their placement; after such time if the form is not received the child's placement will be given to the next person on the waiting list.

Q: What are used to determine if admissions will be offered?

A: The following is taken into consideration, when offering admissions to Pathways Academy:

  • the child’s social, emotional, and developmental readiness
  • references and past academic records (Junior Kindergarten – Grades)
  • availability of space in the year to which the child is applying
  • siblings of students already enrolled
